Frank Gehry in St. Helena

Work has begun on superstar architect Frank Gehry’s first northern California project. He has designed the visitor center for the new HALL St. Helena Winery which is opening in 2009. The 3,000 square foot building, with an exterior of plaster, glass, and stone, will garner worldwide attention by lovers of architecture, and should be a great wine country attraction for years to come. Though it’s rather shameful that Gehry has yet to build in San Francisco, at least he’s getting close!
