SF Style in Paris

Marissa Mayer gave a presentation for Google in Paris today. The San Francisco resident looked smashing as usual, in a simple black suit with soft, feminine ruffle detail. She represents the maturation of Silicon Valley style — it’s not about designer clothes, but it’s no longer about Dockers and golf shirts either. She is said to have displayed grace under pressure when a power outage forced her to give the presentation sans slides.

On the other hand, Youtuber Steve Chen continued to embarrass our great city with his sartorial choices. Can no one convince he and business partner Chad Hurley not to wear a white crew-neck T under their shirts? It’s so dorky and un-sexy. As for the hair — the prematurely balding Chad needs a trim, but Steve. Oh, Steve! Is he going for the Hershberger shag? Fine. Do it, babe! Shag like crazy. But don’t do it yourself, in the morning, with manicure scissors. Does he think he’s Sharon Stone?
