SFluxe couldn’t make it to Appel & Frank’s very first “Eco-Chic Shopping Event” at the Regency Center last week, but friends have raved about what a good time was had. Color me “green” with jealousy.

It featured 65 independent designers including over 30 “green” designers and companies. There was organic denim from Del Forte and clothing from Anna Cohen and Lovelina, jewelry from mollymdesigns and The Weekend Store, cards printed on recycled paper from BZBdesigns.com and organic handbags from Envirosax. Fans of baby chic can picked up clothing from recycled materials by Mama Cow and environ-friendly diapers from Gdiapers.

A portion of the event proceeds benefited Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF), a non-profit committed to the belief that trees are a critical element of a livable, urban environment. (www.fuf.net).
