Living Well in San Francisco

Jordan Park Home For Sale

According to the October issue of “Town & Country” magazine, Jordon Park is the neighborhood in San Francisco where “the living is suddenly sublime.” The magazine recommends it for its “wide, level street and oversized homes,” noting that “for growing families whose children attend one of the many prestigious private schools nearby (Town School for Boys, Schools of the Sacred Heart), amenities like in-law units, expansive yards (front and back) and a convivial community create a satisfying suburban feel… families who choose to stay in the city are paying top dollar for Jordan Park’s gracious living.”

When Town & Country wrote about the neighborhood, there were no homes for sale there, but guess what — now there is, and it’s lovely!

Located at 176 Palm Avenue, this totally renovated family home (originally built approximately 1915) has four bedrooms, four baths, an office, dining room, huge open kitchen, and garage. As you can see, the exterior renovations alone have been a dramatic improvement:

Before (2003)

Now (2007)

The home went on the market just over a week ago for $2.995 million and is, surprisingly, still available (as of October 24.) It’s being represented by Leslie de Bretteville and Alexandra Glockner of McGuire Real Estate. This is only the fifth home to sell in Jordon Park in 2007 so far.
