Carrots Opening

On November 1, Melissa & Catie Grimm hosted a private reception for CARROTS, a grand 4,000 square foot boutique in San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square Neighborhood. The store’s name “CARROTS” is a wink and a nod to Grimmway Farms, Melissa & Catie Grimm’s family business, which is the world’s largest grower, producer and shipper of baby carrots!

The store, which features 50+ ready-to-wear and accessory lines, including fashion-world favorites: Peter Som and Thakoon, Narciso Rodriguez, Rag and Bone, and Helmut Lang. It occupies the former space of Ernie’s restaurant, a San Francisco landmark featured in Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, which closed its doors in 1999. (If you remember the scene, it’s where Scottie & Madeleine first meet.) The store’s interior was created by design dream team SarloWick and Sutro Architecture.
Several of San Francisco’s most stylish came to the opening, and I have a feeling they’ll be going back frequently!
