For more than 25 years, both Friends of the Urban Forest and Greens
Restaurant have shared the common vision of nurturing environmentally
sustainable values in San Francisco. Whether stimulating a
movement to produce organic, locally grown vegetarian haute cuisine,
or inspiring residents to develop a healthier, greener city by planting
(so far) over 42,000 street trees, these homegrown institutions have
led the way in helping to create San Francisco’s renowned green
consciousness. At San Francisco Grown, we will celebrate this heritage
and the recognition that, by choosing the food you eat and the actions
you take to grow the city’s urban forest, you are part of one community
motivated by the same desire to create a sustainable way of life.

All proceeds from San Francisco Grown will go to enhancing FUF’s
tree planting and maintenance, education, advocacy, and youth
service programs.
