Gurbaksh “G” Chahal’s beautiful San Francisco residence was recently packed with friends, family and colleagues for the launch of his first book, “The Dream,” an autobiography which recounts his experiences as the son of an immigrant family (he was born in Tarn Taran, India), who becomes a self-made millionaire through forming two very successful online companies.

The glamorous evening was co-hosted by friends Sophie Azouaou (left) and Joel Goodrich (right), and included an airing of G’s appearance on Oprah earlier that day. Kevin and Barbara Brown (shown here with Joel and Sophie) donated the wine from their company, R&B Cellars.

Asked about his meeting with the almighty O, G said “I did not sleep the night before. I remember being in the green room hugging my sister saying, ‘Oh my god, please don’t yell at me if I embarrass anybody.’”
The show was a big success, with no embarrassment for anyone.
“Oprah has that wonderful charisma where when you’re sitting down in that chair, it’s a conversation between you and her, and everybody else is gone,” he said.
“The warm response I received after that, with thousands of emails from people that loved the story, that were inspired by it, was the greatest gift I ever received.”

After his positive experiences with Oprah and his upcoming Fox show, “Secret Millionaire,” Gurbaksh is ready to do more television.
He says he’s happy to have “Inspired a lot of people to find that hidden fire inside them, that inner-success that they want to achieve,” and he’ll continue on that path through the reality-based TV projects he’s working on.
As always, we wish him the best!
