Reese Witherspoon Joins Brooks’ Latest
For San Francisco film lovers, we are pleased to present this story from “The Moving Picture.”
Reese Witherspoon has joined the cast of James L. Brooks’ latest comedy. The project is set up at Columbia Pictures and has a working title of How Do You Know?.
Brooks is currently writing the screenplay for the film, which is described as an ensemble project that boasts at least three major characters — a hallmark of such Brooks films as Broadcast News and Terms of Endearment.
Brooks, an executive producer for The Simpsons, has only directed five films in his career. His last was in 2004’s Spanglish, a romantic comedy that starred Adam Sandler, Paz Vega and Téa Leoni.
Witherspoon is also attached to star in an untitled Cameron Crowe romantic comedy opposite Ben Stiller. That film was scheduled to film in February but has now been pushed to July.
How Do You Know? is excepted to start production in March.
