Imagi Studios has released seven new pieces of concept art from their upcoming animated feature Astro Boy. The flick is a big screen adaptation of the Japanese manga and 1960s television series. It opens in October and features the voices of Freddie Highmore, Kristen Bell, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, Matt Lucas and Nicolas Cage.

Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving man’s expectations, Astro Boy embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators.
