Bita Daryabari weds Reza Malek in Cabo
We hear from reliable sources that Bita Daryabari wed Dr. Reza Malek this weekend in a multi-million dollar ceremony at the at the Marquis Cabo San Lucas hotel, with a private performance by Julio Iglesias, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The Peninsula philanthropist (sent to the United States by her Persian family as a teenager, she is founder of the Unique Zen Foundation in Menlo Park, which provides international educational grants to nurses and teachers, and funds girls’ schools and health clinics in developing countries), is the former wife of billionaire Omid Kordestani, Google’s Senior VP for Global Sales & Business Development.
Dr. Malek, a neuro-endovascular surgeon, is co-founder of Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions in San Jose.
Guests were asked not to take photos at the event, so for now this photo by Drew Altizer, from the SF20 Preview party in September, 2008, will need to suffice!
