Brendan Fraser Starring in Crowley
For San Francisco film lovers, we are pleased to present this story from “The Moving Picture.”
The latest issue of Production Weekly has listed Brendan Fraser in the cast of Crowely, the upcoming drama with Harrison Ford from director Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas).
The film is based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher with a potential cure. Fraser will play the title character while Ford will play the researcher, as well as executive produce.
Robert Nelson Jacobs (The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, The Shipping News) penned the screenplay. It was inspired by a Wall Street Journal article and subsequent book, The Cure, by Geeta Anand.
Fraser will hit the screen later this month in Inkheart, an adventure fantasy flick based on Cornelia Funke’s novel. It also stars Sienna Guillory, Paul Bettany and Helen Mirren.
Crowley is slated to begin shooting in April.
