Is Scream 4 Finally Moving Forward?
For San Francisco film lovers, we are pleased to present this story from “The Moving Picture.”

Every now and then rumors about a fourth Scream flick hit the interwebs and today we have one of those rumors. The folks over at Bloody Disgusting have received an update on the status of the long-rumored project, which they say comes from a 100% source.
According to the site, Kevin Williamson, writer of the first two films in the popular horror franchise, is going to start writing a draft for the proposed fourth movie and Wes Craven may once again direct.
While it apparently centers around a younger cast, the original stars – Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox Arquette may show up in cameo roles.
The first Scream opened in 1996, followed by part 2 in 1997 and part 3 in 2000. They centered around Sidney Prescott (Campbell) as she fights off a psychopathic serial killer. The series is known for revitalizing the slasher genre in the mid 1990s.
Craven and Williamson also collaborated on the Werewolf flick Cursed, which opened in 2005 and starred Christina Ricci and Jesse Eisenberg.
