Observe and Report to Premiere at SXSW
For San Francisco film lovers, we are pleased to present this story from “The Moving Picture.”
It’s just been announced that the Seth Rogen comedy, Observe and Report, will have its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 16, 2009. The flick was written and directed by Jody Hill (The Foot Fist Way).
In the film, bi-polar mall security guard Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen) is called into action to stop a flasher from turning shopper’s paradise into his personal peep show. But when Barnhardt can’t bring the culprit to justice, a surly police detective, is recruited to close the case.
It also stars Anna Faris, Michael Peña, Aziz Ansari, Jesse Plemons, Patton Oswalt and Ray Liotta. It opens wide on April 10, 2009.
SXSW has also announced some of the panelists you can expect to see at the festival they include directors Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Rodriguez, Mike Judge and Joe Swanberg, as well as trailer editor Mark Woollen.
Fellow Judd Apatow alumni, Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, also have their latest comedy, I Love You, Man, premiering at the festival.
