For San Francisco film lovers, we’re pleased to present this story from “The Moving Picture”.

Over the weekend two new pieces of concept art from Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol hit the interwebs. The film is using performance capture/Disney digital 3-D animation, the same process Zemeckis used for The Polar Express and Beowulf. Jim Carrey is playing Ebenezer Scrooge in the film as well as the three ghosts that haunt him.

The adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens story also stars Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Cary Elwes, Bob Hoskins, Daryl Sabara and Robin Wright Penn. It opens November 6, 2009.
