Look of the Day: Karen Tamblyn
Fashion stylist Karen Tamblyn always brightens a room when she walks in, but when she arrived at Joel Goodrich’s penthouse apartment one recent evening, she really had her work cut out for her — he had just hung some beautiful new gold sequined curtains! Who could compete with that? But Karen showed that even when surrounded by yards of eye-catching sparklies, a beautifully dressed woman can still have all eyes on HER. This time Karen caught our attention with her one-shoulder jumpsuit by Bebe, worn with impossibly high shoes from Yves Saint Laurent.
Karen is a big fan of jumpsuits, recently telling Vivanista.com that they are “no longer just for skydivers and race car drivers, but are a must-have for this spring.” They’ve been seen recently on Rihanna (she wore a vintage Claude Montana jumpsuit on the red carpet), Marisa Tomei, Juliette Lewis, Lisa Rinna, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and Toni Collette.
“This versatile piece can take you from day to night, and you can choose from strapless, draped or ankle-cropped,” says Karen.
