Johansson ‘to get $66k from hacker’ – Celeb News Now
Scarlett Johansson could receive over US$ 66,000 (NZ$ 83,483) in restitution from celebrity hacker Christopher Chaney, it is reported.
The Hollywood starlet was among other female performers who had their privacy invaded in recent months by the notorious computer criminal.
And TMZ reports that the US Government is recommending to the judge handling the case that Johansson and other people targeted should receive money for their trouble.
Legal documents filed with the US District Court in California sets out how prosecutors feel Chaney should be dealt with.
He had pleaded guilty to nine hacking related felonies earlier this year after stealing and then uploading raunchy photos of stars like Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera and Renee Olstead.
Aguilera is down to receive US$ 7,500 while Olstead would get over US$ 76,000.
Prosecutors are also pushing for Chaney to spend 71 months behind bars.
He will be sentenced on July 23 when he is due back in court.
