TV show will be Sheen’s last – Celeb News Now

30 June 2012

Troubled actor Charlie Sheen says his new TV show, Anger Management, will be his last foray into acting.

“Thirty years in, I mean come on. There’s this whole ton of stuff to do that involves my children and the rest of my life that’s not about, like, worshipping fiction,” the 46-year-old told Fox411 Pop Tarts.

Anger Management, which premiered in America this week, casts Sheen as an unorthodox therapist who helps patients deal with their anger.

“He doesn’t judge anybody,” Sheen said of his character. “He’s just a guy trying to get by. He’s all about atonement, giving something back. He’s cool and he’s smart.”

Sheen has first-hand experience of anger management classes and has also spent time in rehab.

He famously unleashed a ferocious attack on his Two and a Half Men bosses last year, resulting in him being fired from the show.

During his meltdown, he lived with two women he called his “goddesses” and claimed to have “tiger blood” running through his veins.

British comedian Russell Brand recently revealed Sheen reached out to him during that time.

“I got an answerphone message, ‘Brand. Genius One. This is Genius Two’. I thought, ‘This is crazy,’” Brand told British newspaper The Sun.

“There were instructions to go to his house. There was him being Charlie Sheen – which was out of control – sat with a bunch who looked really on the edge. I think he’s super-cool and he’s funny as f**k.”
