I Want Her To Win, But…Can Alicia Keys Ever Get Back On Top?
Before you get your panties in a knot, know that my question is one that comes from worry, not an actual desire. Why? Because I’m a huge Alicia Keys fan. While I tried to resist her cornrow and beads wearing underneath a fedora steez and her talents as a pianist back when she dropped Songs In A Minor , tracks like “Butterflyz,” “Girlfriend,” “A Woman’s Worth” and more had me hooked on her. Seriously, you can still catch me walking around our office singing the intro to “Troubles” with an emphatic, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, YEAAAAAAA!” If that wasn’t enough, Diary of Alicia Keys was another classic; I was one of the first to have her very awesome Unplugged joint; and As I Am with its epic lead single, “No One,” was something I couldn’t help but play from top to bottom. To me, Alicia Keys is truly one of the few genuinely talented people left in our musical generation, with lyrics that are poetry and not some vulgar ish you could find written on a gas station bathroom wall…MORE

50 Cent and Eminem Hint At A Watch The Throne Type Album [VIDEO] » by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz) November 29, 2012, 8:57am Now this is something you can get moderately excited about, even if Eminem isn’t. While on set for 50 Cent’s latest video, Paul Rosenberg (off camera) suggested that Curtis and Eminem should do a joint project similar to Jay-Z and Kanye West’ s Watch The Throne. From this video, you can tell how eager Curtis is to do the project. Marshall on the other hand, isn’t so sure. “I’m just here to hang out man,” Eminem said after being pressured by 50. “No pressure at all, right? No pressure.” We imagine that this is how most of 50 Cent’s negotiations go now a days. Check out the short clip after the jump and stay tuned, crazier things have happened
Ryan Leslie Ordered To Pay $1 Million Reward For Returned Stolen Laptop NEWS » by Alvin aqua Blanco (@aqua174) November 29, 2012, 8:22am Ryan Leslie got what he wished for, and now he has to pay for it. A Manhattan federal court jury has ordered the singer/songwriter to pay a German autoworker a cool $1 million for finding and returning the crooner and sometimes rapper’s stolen laptop. Leslie previously went to YouTube when his laptop was initially lost asking for its return and offering the reward for whoever returned. Initially, in late October 2010 he offered a $20K reward before upping the ante to $1 million the next month. However, once he got back his Macbook (which was stolen from a Mercedes-Benz while he was on tour in Cologne, Germany), Leslie didn’t feel obligated to pay up—citing that the music files he needed were damaged and implying that Armin Augustein was involved in the theft. Augstein, who returned the computer to German authorities in November 2010, filed a lawsuit to get his dough.

Amanda Knox’s memoirs about the murder trial of Meredith Kercher will be released next April (Reuters) Amanda Knox’s tell-all book, Waiting to be Heard: A Memoir, will be released on 30 April, two months later than planned. According to reports, Knox was paid $4m for the book, which was announced in February by publishers HarperCollins. Knox and her then boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were found not guilty in 2011 of the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in a house they shared in Perugia, central Italy . Before the verdict, Knox spent nearly four years in jail in Italy, where she had been studying at the time of Kercher’s death. During her incarceration, Knox said she was sexually harassed by prison officials and guards. She was also mistakenly told she had HIV and made to provide a list of her previous lovers, which was then leaked to the press. Kercher, 21, who was Knox’s housemate, was found dead in her bedroom in November 2007.
