Salvatore Ferragamo, the famous fashion brand from Italy, has done wardrobe design for the anticipated new movie by Ron Howard entitled “RUSH”. This movie is based on a true story and is set in the 1970’s – the golden age of Formula 1. It basically focuses on the rivalry between England’s James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Salvatore Ferragamo designed all of Daniel Bruhl’s costumes for RUSH. Full of unique clean-cuts and fabrics, his costumes are truly reminiscent of the 1970s while reflecting on Lauda’s sportsmanship and perfectionism in real life. These Salvatore Ferragamo costumes reinterpret modern luxury while bring back the craftsmanship and traditions of the era that they are supposed to represent.
RUSH will start showing in London this September 13, 2013 at a premiere sponsored by Salvatore Ferragamo himself.
