Amber Marie Bently Launches Oro

Amber Marie Bently launched her newest jewelry collection, Oro, at a private dinner party hosted by friend Mireille Schwartz last week.

Writing for SF Unzipped, Carolyne Zinko said that the “ecologically sound” pieces, featuring recycled gold and cords made from recycled tires, looked “dazzling.”

Dorka Keehn, Joel Goodrich, Elisabeth Laurence, Loretta Clarke and CR Lipton were among the guests who got the exclusive preview of the collection.

All of the jewelry in the collection is one-of-a-kind and made by hand. Carolyne Zinko …

The Ladies in Red

Every woman has a black dress, instantly giving a sophisticated, sleek, modern look. But few women have the level of confidence and sassy-siren sex appeal to wear a slinky red dress to a big event.
When the right woman wears the right red dress, it’s hard to imagine anyone looking better. At this season’s Symphony opening, four special ladies did it, and they did it absolutely splendidly.

Burning Woman at the Beach

Amber Marie Bently is a woman of many talents, as I discovered with a group of friends at Ocean Beach in San Francisco recently. Sure, we all know her as a great jewelry designer, as a smart business woman, and with husband Christopher, one of the leading philanthropists in San Francisco. But who knew she could hula-hoop… in fire!
I wouldn’t have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes.

The occasion was a private celebration in honor of Amber Marie’s Goddaughter. With Chris Bently on …

Caped Crusader of Chic

Usually SFLuxe’s commentary on the Bently family fashion focuses on Amber Marie Bently, who’s always so gorgeous and lovely, like a glittering butterfly, but this time we’re going to change it up a little and cast an eye on husband Christopher Bently. My jaw dropped, as I’m sure yours just did too, when I saw this divine photo by Matt Powers of Christopher and Amber Marie on stage at the Koncept Kamalaspa fashion show. It is absolutely the most superb outfit I have seen a man wear in …

It looks like one of SFluxe’s favorite people, jewelry designer Amber Marie Bently, is taking the city by storm this week, in a flurry of showings just in time for the holidays.
On Sunday she showcased at “Artwear in the Galleries” located at 49 Geary in San Francisco’s Steven Writz Gallery. It was a really cool event, where art fans from all over had the opportunity to shop for wearable art ( jewelry, clothing, and accessories) in some …

In the last installment of “15 Minutes With…” SFluxe spoke with Peter Dundas, designer for Emanuel Ungaro (just a few months before he departed from the company.) Today I catch up with jeweler Amber Marie Bently, who is launching her new one-of-a-kind collection at a party this Thursday (September 13th.)
She and husband Christ Bently, founders of the Kamalaspa on Union Square, are flying the legendary actress Tippi Hedren in for the event, and are donating a portion …

The August issue of SFis has a big story on San Francisco’s leading jewelry designers — and I think it may be the first time that photos from Amber Marie Bently’s line have been published, a collection a lot of people have been wondering about.
The owner of the Kamalaspa spa at Union Square began making jewelry about two years ago, and recently took an intensive course at the Revere Academy in San Francisco.
The hand crafted pieces are one-of-a-kind (the jade beads on the necklace on the left were found …
